Philanthropy

As Delta Zeta members, we expect our sisters to have 100% involvement. This means that each member is involved in another club, organization, or philanthropy. We have several sisters involved in O-Team, Regatta Committee, Campus Ambassadors, and many more! We love encouraging our sisters to get out there and participate in what they are passionate about. Service to others is an integral part of being a Delta Zeta. Our national philanthropies are speech and hearing and The Painted Turtle Camp.

The Painted Turtle Camp

Delta Zeta is proud to partner with The Painted Turtle Camp, which is a part of Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Camps for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. Delta Zeta is the first sorority to partner with The Painted Turtle as a part of their national philanthropic efforts.

Speech and Hearing
Delta Zeta’s involvement in speech and hearing has a long and rich history. Since 1954, Delta Zeta Sorority has shared a partnership with Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the world’s only university in which all programs and services are specifically designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students.

Gaulladette University

Gaulladette University is located in Washington, D.C. and has been a philanthropic partner of Delta Zeta since 1954. It is the World’s only university with undergraduate programs accessible to deaf and “hard of hearing” students. At Gallaudet University, Delta Zeta endowed the Delta Zeta Scholarship Fund and the Fine Arts Endowment Fund. There is also a collegiate Delta Zeta chapter, Omicron Sigma, at the university.
